YEAH, I'M LDS.

I think it's safe to say I love blogging.
(is there a cure for this?)

On a completely unrelated note,
I was sitting in Sacrement meeting today, right?
And I have no idea who said it
(mostly because I don't know most of the people in my college ward),
but she was quoting someone and said
"I did not pledge my life to a fairy tale."
Meaning, I believe in this church.
And those who say that it isn't true, are just ridiculous.
Especially when they use the excuse of
"a 14 year old boy claims he saw God and Christ,
and you're just gonna buy that?"
I understand how someone could think that, I do.
BUT.
When you've felt the things I have felt, and a million other members have felt,
then you would know without a doubt,
that it's true
And sometimes, isn't it amazing to believe in something
that sounds crazy out there?
But, only because you know the truth behind it.

I love this quote.
"I did not pledge my life to a fairy tale."
It sums up everything.
Because, the accusations that my religion was made up by
a man, with little education, is absurd.
That he wrote the
whole Book of Mormon by himself?
That seems more far fetched then the fact that he was 14 when
Heavenly Father and Christ appeared to him.

I wanted to bare my testimony today, but I'm kind of a chicken
when it comes to standing up in front of everyone and
expressing feelings.
I do much better behind a lit up screen and a keyboard.
That's why, right now, I want to bare my testimony.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
is the only true church.
It is Christ's church.
He loved us enough to die for us,
so why wouldn't He have a restored church with
modern day prophets?
It only makes sense.
I know that He lives.
I know, without a doubt in my mind,
that He and my Heavenly Father
know exactly who I am.
They know my name.
They know my heart.
They know my wants and desires.
I know that I am here for a divine purpose.
I have a mission here on earth,
and to my knowledge so far,
it is to bring the world His truth.
To get married in the temple.
To have a family.
Keep all of my covenants.
A return to Him, with honor.

I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
